Senior Portraits

Mushroom's Senior Portraits at the UW Arboretum

This young adult has the best style

And the best taste in X-men characters! (I’m in agreement with Mushroom that Dazzler doesn’t get nearly enough love) It was such a joy to get to talk with them and their mom and grandma during their portrait session! Good luck with senior year, Mushroom!

Marcus' Senior Portraits at Tenney Park

Tenney Park was a gorgeous setting for Marcus’ senior portraits!

I love hearing from seniors what their plans are for post-graduation (while keeping in mind that it’s actually not realistic for a 17 or 18 year old to have figured it all out by that time lol), but it’s always interesting to me where young adults see themselves headed, and when Marcus told me that he was interested in studying political science, I loved how much that meshed with his vibe for his portraits (down to the tie even)!

Help me wish Marcus good luck on his journey into senior year and all he’ll accomplish after!

Sierra's Senior Portraits at the UW Arboretum

The UW Arboretum was a beautiful setting for Sierra’s senior portraits

I was fortunate enough to get to take Sierra’s senior portraits at the UW Arboretum during some truly spectacular golden hour light, on the eve of a particularly gorgeous full moon, and it was as magical as it was buggy! I think the mosquito bites were worth it though. Enjoy the pics, and help me wish Sierra a big congrats on embarking on her senior year of high-school!

Grace's Willy Street Senior Portraits

Grace’s fun and colorful Senior Portraits were a blast!

I don’t do senior portraits often, but this session was so fun it’s making me hope that I end up doing more of them! Grace and her mom Erin and I walked along Willy Street, taking advantage of some of the gorgeous murals along the way, ending up on Lake Monona just before sunset! Lots of laughs, lots of trying not to fall in the lake, and lots of fun spinning at the end (why don’t I make people spin more? It’s great!)

Enjoy the photos and congrats to Grace on her upcoming senior year!

Jax's Senior Portraits in the Arboretum

This is an interesting year for senior portraits, because it’s been an interesting year for seniors

Hearing Jax talk about how he and his friends spent their time in Junior year compared to this year reminds me of the struggles we’ve all had adjusting to the curveballs 2020 has thrown at us, but I’m always amazed at how adaptable young adults are. I’m hoping before senior year is over, Jax can safely get back to eating ice cream with friends over lunch. ;)

Here’s to this year’s seniors, especially Jax!

Senior Portraits at the Arboretum

JosephBlog-1008.jpg

I don’t do senior portraits often, but when I do, it’s for kickass young adults like Joseph

Joseph has an interest in Personal Training, with an emphasis nutrition, which is amazing to me, because when I was his age, all I wanted to do was paint hand prints on my jeans and drink coffee. This kid is going places for sure!

And okay, maybe I’m a little biased, but I am such a sucker for moms and sons, so I had to include these super sweet photos of Joseph and his mom! Hopefully Ben will let me get in a hug or two at that age also. ;)

Enjoy the photos, and good luck on your journey, Joseph!
